Rooibos Tea is currently classified as functional food and helps in the fight against lifestyle diseases. This is certainly one of the healthier tea drinks that you should drink alternating with classic tea or coffee.
Health benefits: Rooibos Tea is especially full of phenolic compounds, mainly flavonoids, phenolic acids, coumarins and phenylpropanoids. It also contains tannins, but there are relatively few.
